I almost never work in the wood shop if I'm upset or really distracted about something because when my attention is elsewhere, I often do something really dumb. And today was a good example:
Remember that turning blank I was going to make out of kempas and white oak? Well I decided to just glue it up after a stressful day and so I did. Here's the result:
I did it incorrectly and now the blank can't be used. Damn! I was really looking forward to turning this.
I also did some turning on the red kempas bowl and I'm probably lucky I didn't mess that up as well:
I'm going to go and have a cup of tea and go for a walk.
